Works GREAT with OS X Lion (and Snow Leopard), May 8, 2012 By This review is from: VirusBarrier X6 for Mac [Download] (Software Download) I am finding that I do not notice this software at all ... which is how it should be with AV software.... just do the job and stay out of the way. I do not, however, use the firewall feature. I don't need it since I am on my home, wired network. More importantly, I have never found any value to third party software as a firewall. Get a hardware firewall and the odds are that 99.99% of users have a home firewall router anyway. I also carry a portably firewall on the road and I do not use my computer on public WiFi networks. It is silly to send your personal data unencrypted across an open network and think a firewall will help you in any way.
In any case, I have this software running on all 6 Macs in my home. 2 are older and are running Snow Leopard and the rest run Lion. We have every mac there is (except Air): iMac, MacBook, Mini, MacBook Pro, and a Mac Pro. It runs fine on all of them. Some came with Lion and others were upgraded, I see no difference at all in... Stay away from this problematic software, June 25, 2012 This review is from: VirusBarrier X6 for Mac [Download] (Software Download) I had previously owned this product on a G4 Dual Core and decided to buy the product for my Powerbook. First, although the company is aware of problems with installation due to permissions, they don't offer this information until they're contacted after the install failed. After installation, MANY of my previously working bookmarks erred off saying the Operation wasn't permitted. There was no workaround and I couldn't afford to lose so man working links so I deactivated, then deleted the package. I STILL had problems until I found an Uninstall program. What an absolute disaster. This product bears no comparison to their older program which performed flawlessly. Save yourself hours of trouble and having to uninstall anyway, not to mention the monetary loss.

I'd recommend this to any Mac user to keep their systems and most importantly to keep from spreading viruses to Windows users, as well.
