5 of 5 people found the following review helpful Review after 6 months use - update, November 10, 2012 By DCP (California) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?) This review is from: Total Security 2013 Value Edition M2 - 3PCs/2Years (CD-ROM) I started using this when Bitdefender gave it to me to compensate for an unusual problem that developed in the 2012 version after 1.5 years, so I've used 2013 Total Security for nearly 6 months. It installed easily and perfectly. It has done a great job. There have not been any problems of any kind. I'm using it on an HP desktop and a Dell laptop with Windows 7, IE 9, and Office 2010. My subscription was for 2 years, which runs out in about 30 days, and I'm definitely buying it for another 2 years.
11-11-12 Yesterday I bought the 3 PCs/2 years package and don't regret it despite the newest reviewer who had a problem with customer support. My experiences with customer support (chat, email, and phone) over the years I've used the product have been timely and helpful, although I've had so few difficulties that I haven't needed support often. Also, to balance the picture, I've used the two big name products that usually get great reviews and had such horrible experiences... Read more
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Extremely poor Tech support!, November 10, 2012 By Sir_Vikin "Sir_Vikin" (Greenville, North Carolina) - See all my reviews This review is from: Total Security 2013 Value Edition M2 - 3PCs/2Years (CD-ROM) I was a returning customer of BD, however, I am now one that will NOT be returning... BD TS 2013 has been one huge let down after another. First it was released full of bugs, and now tech support is almost non existent. I've had a ticket open since before October 14th and the techs will not respond to it. I opened a second ticket on the same thing and directed the tech to the original ticket and the way that they are responding tells me that they didn't even look at my original ticket. Instead of trying to address the problem they give me nothing but canned responses hoping that will fix the issue. It hasn't. I went to chat with a tech support tech and after a lengthy runaround I was finally able to get him to understand that there was a previous ticket open. He told me the tech working on that ticket would get back to me ASAP. Its been over a week and nothing. The BD forums... The one tech that mans them is overwhelmed and MIA half the time. Posts that get the techs attention do not... Read more
11 of 15 people found the following review helpful Warning - Ripoff, August 3, 2012 By Book Addict (Florida) - See all my reviews This review is from: Total Security 2013 Value Edition M2 - 3PCs/2Years (CD-ROM) PROS:
tech staff are polite
CONS:
- won't install - even on a brand new clean computer with no other antivirus
- tech support could not figure out how to install
- deceptive practices - they do not send registration key, only ad to use premium installation services
- do not give an immediate refund - just a promise to contact you by email in 48 hours to talk
- So far no refund and no contact after 48 hours
SUMMARY:
- An antivirus software company should inspire trust, not engage in shady dealings. I have never had a purchase experience like this, and I'm in my forties.
